About EMBRACE
EMBRACE is a clinical framework supporting Black Birthing Families with integrated and holistic perinatal care from an intentional angle of racial consciousness.
It is an intervention, led by Spirit, referred to as A LOVE LETTER created by Black Women, for Black Families. We acknowledge that the many elements of our intervention are not new or innovative. It is simply a return to a wisdom already known. It is a wisdom of the village. It is wisdom that stands on the shoulders and backs of those who came before us.

Embracing Black Families
One Birth At A Time With:
Patient Communication & Care Delivery
EMBRACE allows for real-time contact and true collaboration/co-creation of prenatal care treatment plans with our patients
Village Building & Integration
EMBRACE honors the experience of having a child that requires full integration of family into prenatal care.
Extension Into Postpartum Care
EMBRACE does not abandon the family system during the “4th trimester”: Monthly group sessions and continuation 1:1 therapy sessions.
Safe Passage
EMBRACE is a “safe passage” intervention, for a birthing population who are at the highest risk of death during delivery.
SOUL Care
EMBRACE is deliberate in creating an infrastructure that supports healing for the healer.
Race Concordant & Culturally Affirming Care
All of EMBRACE’s facilitators are Black and have the ability to create space for support and knowledge about the Black experience in the United States.
Integrated Health & Holistic Wellness
EMBRACE integrates mental health and wellness services:
1:1 therapy sessions
Group mental health sessions
Wellness activities
